Welcome to the web site of Break Out Canoe Club, the canoeing activities section of South Leicestershire District Scouts.

Would you like to be part of the most successful UK Scout canoe club in the Olympic sport of canoe slalom? Or perhaps you'd just like to learn some basic paddling skills? Congratulations to Louis on coming third in the Men's Division 2 K1 class at the Washburn canoe slalom competition on 4th July. Well done also to Erin on winning the Women's Division 2 Junior prize.

The new-look weekly evening Club sessions started on Monday 12th April. Depending upon coach availability we'll be running sessions for those working towards 2*/PaddlePower Discover, those working towards 3*, and those wanting to do slalom training. These sessions will run alongside a formal, pre-booked, PaddlePower course for beginners.

All event photographs are now stored on our Flickr site. You'll need a Yahoo account to register. Once you've done this you can request access to the Break Out Canoe Club site from us.

Club Sweat Shirt - The club hooded sweat shirt, priced at £17.50 plus P&P, is now available. These hoodies are navy blue in colour, with "Break Out Canoe Club" in yellow lettering on the back, and the Scout "Be Prepared" logo in blue on the front. Please email the Secretary to place an order. Also available at the same price: shocking pink with white lettering!
