About Us

Break Out Canoe Club is run by the canoeing activities team of South Leicestershire District Scouts. Members are drawn from Scout Groups within South Leicestershire.

We operate from Hinckley Water Activities Training Centre, at Hinckley Wharf. Access to the centre is via an unmade track that lies between The Wharf public house and the Simla restaurant on the Coventry Road. Pass through the double gates beyond the pub, and you'll find the Centre about fifty metres further on through the first set of double gates on the left. Click here for a map. The nearest postcode is LE10 0NQ. This coincides with the Simla restaurant.

In March of 2009 we became a British Canoe Union (BCU) affiliated Junior Club; affiliation number 100584.
